The Oyo State Police Command has arrested three men in Saki over alleged homosexual acts, following intelligence received by officers on September 29, 2026.

The suspects were identified as Ayomide Lukeman, 22; Shuaib Aremu, 22; and Abdul-Rasheed Mufeed, 23. They were arrested by operatives of the Command Monitoring Unit at its Saki Operational Base, according to the police.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, disclosed the arrests in a statement on Friday, saying the operation followed a directive from the Commissioner of Police to verify the intelligence and take appropriate action.

Olayinka said preliminary investigations indicated that the suspects had allegedly admitted to engaging in homosexual acts.

He further claimed that two of the men confessed to having sexual relations with the third suspect on several occasions. According to the police spokesman, the two allegedly referred to the third suspect as their “wife.”

The police said investigations were continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the allegations and determine whether other individuals were connected to the case.

No further details about the suspects’ legal status or the next steps in the investigation were provided in the statement.
