Nollywood actress Bisola Aiyeola has stated that although marriage is essential to society, it is not the core of her existence. Speaking on the In My Opinion podcast, she questioned why some women should remain in marriages where they shoulder most of the financial, childcare and household responsibilities.
The actress clarified that she is open to marriage if the opportunity arises but is equally content with her life as it is.
Bisola, a mother of a 17-year-old daughter, also highlighted the challenges of single parenthood, stressing that raising a child should not be the responsibility of one person alone.
Reflecting on turning 40 in January, the actress expressed happiness with her personal growth, describing this period as the best time of her life.
