The Odumodublvck Assault Case has been adjourned to October 13 and October 14, 2026, after an FCT High Court sitting in Abuja fixed new dates for the commencement of hearing in the matter involving the popular Nigerian rapper.
The civil suit was instituted by Nigerian musician Levi Ogbogiri, popularly known as Kraziecent, who accused Odumodublvck of assault and battery during a public event held on December 16, 2024.
According to court documents, the claimant alleged that the incident occurred while he was taking photographs and recording videos of himself at the event. He claimed that the rapper allegedly attacked him without provocation, resulting in emotional distress and damage to his iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The Odumodublvck Assault Case seeks several reliefs from the court, including compensation for medical expenses, replacement of the damaged mobile device and financial damages for emotional trauma, public embarrassment and reputational harm.
The claimant is also requesting an order compelling the rapper to issue a public apology across his social media platforms, including Facebook, X and Instagram. In addition, he wants the apology published in at least two national newspapers.
Furthermore, the suit seeks a perpetual injunction restraining the defendant from any further acts of harassment or intimidation against the claimant.
At the resumed proceedings on Tuesday, counsel to the claimant, Uchenna Ojembe, informed the court that the matter was ready for hearing.
However, the court was reminded that during an earlier sitting, counsel to the defendant, Sheriff Bello, had requested an adjournment to allow adequate time to prepare the defence.
Justice J.O.E. Adeyemi-Ajayi subsequently granted the request and fixed October 13 and October 14, 2026, for hearing of the case.
The adjournment is expected to give both parties sufficient time to finalise preparations and present their evidence before the court.
The Odumodublvck Assault Case has continued to attract attention within Nigeria’s entertainment industry, with many fans and stakeholders closely monitoring developments surrounding the allegations.
Legal observers note that the outcome of the case could have implications for both parties, particularly given the claims relating to assault, emotional distress and reputational damage.
