Veteran Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has sparked conversations about marriage after reportedly questioning how the institution benefits women following a discussion with his sister-in-law.
The actor raised the question after his sister-in-law reportedly told him about the conditions his brother gave her in their marriage.
The revelation appears to have prompted Kanayo to reflect on the expectations placed on women in marriage and whether the arrangement offers them equal benefits.
His question, “How does marriage favour women?” has since drawn attention to the ongoing conversations surrounding marital responsibilities, compromise, and the expectations placed on both partners.
