BBNaija star Sheggz has addressed claims that he dated women, collected their money and moved on, following allegations involving his former partner, Bella Okagbue.
Speaking during a conversation with media personality Oyemyke, Sheggz was asked whether he lives in Lagos or the UK.
“Both, bro. I have my house in London and I have my house in Banana Island in Lagos,” he replied.
Asked if he grew up in London, Sheggz said, “Yeah, yeah, yeah, but I went to Nigeria for like five years though when I was younger.”
Oyemykke then asked if he learnt to be a “gigolo” in Nigeria or picked up the alleged lifestyle while growing up in London. Sheggz dismissed the suggestion, saying, “Bro, is it possible I’m working now, I make money and I work hard. I’ve been balling since. No be today, like for the longest.”
Oyemykke subsequently brought up claims that Sheggz dated women, allegedly swindled them of their money and moved on. Sheggz responded, “Bro, that was my best friend. I gave her the best life. Bro, I worked so hard. I’ve been balling since. No be today.”
When asked if Bella was lying about the allegations, Sheggz said, “I’m not saying she’s lying. She brought stuff to the table. 70-30. She’s a woman. She works as well. She’s a star too.”
On whether they collected money from each other during their four-year relationship, he said, “we both collected from each other but I’m the man I did more”
Asked why Bella was saying online that he took her money, Sheggz replied, “I don’t know why she don’t want to address it.”
He further stated that Bella lived with him and that he provided for her.
“Bro, she lived with me. I provided everything for her, like I gave her cars. I did everything for her. I loved her to bits. Do you get what I’m saying? That was the love of my life. That was my girl.”
Sheggz added
“If we got married, this wouldn’t be a conversation because we didn’t get married, now everybody’s saying crazy stuff. It’s crazy,” he said.
