Tinubu Mourns Anthony Adeniyi as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep sadness over the death of distinguished statesman, lawyer and pro-democracy advocate, Senator Anthony Adeniyi, describing his passing as a huge loss to Nigeria’s democratic journey.

President Tinubu paid glowing tribute to the late Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), who died at the age of 75, praising his unwavering commitment to democracy, justice, public service and national development.

President Tinubu said Senator Anthony Adeniyi dedicated his life to strengthening democratic institutions and promoting good governance in Nigeria.

The President recalled that the late senator served as the Ekiti State Chairman of the South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA), the political movement that mobilised nationwide support for his emergence as President during the 2023 general elections.
