Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has expressed frustration over being repeatedly cast in “Odogwu” characters, saying he does not want his acting career to be limited to one role.‘
Speaking during an appearance on the CreativiTea Podcast, the actor reflected on how his portrayal of Odogwu in “LOVE IN EVERY WORD” brought him increased recognition, financial opportunities and brand deals. However, he noted that the success of the character has also led producers to repeatedly offer him similar roles.
The actor called on filmmakers to explore his versatility by offering him different characters, stressing that he is capable of portraying diverse personalities beyond the popular Odogwu persona.
